At the most basic level, everything is energy, including the entirety of the human existence. It is very objectionable that our bodies are energy, as this we can see; however, our thoughts and emotions are an even more powerful aspect of the human energy system in how they impact the body. Remember a deeply joyful moment in your life, what was around you, who was around you, remember what you could see. Now focus on how you knew it was joyful, what did that feel like? Did you feel energized, at peace, did your heart beat a little faster, did your mouth form into a smile or tears of joy in your eyes? This in essence is energy; you felt the energy of the moment and it changed the cells of your body. This is also true of trauma and hardship, but often people have a harder time letting go of trauma than they do letting go of joy because of the biological program for survival. This is one way that energy gets trapped in the body and causes physical, emotional, spiritual and mental stress.
